All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover

February 10, 2023

Whew, guys, All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover sent me over the edge with emotions. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know my husband, and I dealt with something in our marriage while trying to have kids, and this book brought all of those emotions back in full force. I don’t want to give away details, but I will say (SPOILER ALERT) if you have gone through or are currently going through infertility, this book can bring up some emotions you may not even realize you have.

With that said, it’s such a great book! One of my favorite CoHo reads, although I say that about all of them! Oh, Colleen, you know how to get me!

“No matter how much you love someone—the capacity of that love is meaningless if it outweighs your capacity to forgive.”

All Your Perfects Story Summary

Quinn and Graham have a wooden box they vowed to open on their 25th wedding anniversary. The only way to open the intricate wooden box before their 25th anniversary is for an absolute emergency.

The book details the excitement of their new relationship (despite how they met) all the way to the trials they face in their marriage today. Quinn, unable to conceive children, feels that Graham would be happier with another woman. She doesn’t like being intimate with her husband because it gives her a false sense of hope. She pulls away from him, and, as a result, Graham ends up having an affair.

After a heated argument, Quinn experiences debilitating pain and is taken to the Emergency Room by Graham. There, they find out she was experiencing a miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy, resulting in a devastating loss for Quinn.

Distraught over her circumstance, she moves to Europe to live with her sister as she recovers from surgery. Graham eventually follows Quinn to Europe and brings the wooden box with him.

Quinn, knowing their relationship is nearing its end, opens the box. Inside, she finds what will change her life and their relationship forever. The ending of All Your Perfects is a classic CoHo-type fairytale and couldn’t have been better.

All Your Perfects Review

Colleen Hoover’s books are rapid and easy reads, and this one is no different. Written in true CoHo style, the chapters shift seamlessly through time, dating back to when Quinn and Graham met up to the present day. The characters were well-developed but weren’t overly detailed.

All Your Perfects meant more to me than probably the average person because of the hardships I have gone through in my marriage. The emotions stirred were real and raw and were emotions I wasn’t even sure I had.

Unlike Verity, All Your Perfects is more of a romantic Colleen Hoover book and is similar to Ugly Love, or It Starts with Us.

Title Final Thoughts

If you’re looking for a fast romantic read, I recommend All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover. The warm and fuzzy feeling you’re left with won’t be forgotten!

I’m a margarita-mixing, kitten-rescuing, plant-hoarding, pumpkin-spice-everything-obsessed, homeschooling book lover. You can pretty much always find me in my favorite chair, under my cozy knit blanket, with a good book.
