This year, I have been averaging two to three books per week, and with this comes a lot of learning what works for me and what is helpful. I’ve been thinking of making this list for a while but, finally, decided it was time! I hope you find these new must-haves for book lovers helpful!
If you have never sat in an egg chair, I can genuinely say you are truly missing out! These chairs are absolutely worth the hype! What makes them so great is that they are extremely deep, so you can fit enough pillows and blankets in there to make yourself a cozy little fortress. Add some warm white string lights and you have yourself a built-in reading lamp!
If you’re an avid reader and don’t have a Kindle, you are seriously missing out. Between Kindle Unlimited, Libby, Hoopla, and more, you can now access thousands of digital books for FREE on your Kindle device. And look at this adorable green color! I have a feeling Kindle may be becoming a trend and that new colors will be releasing. Just a hunch, don’t hold me to it.
TIP: Download the Kindle app on your phone to access all of your Kindle books, easily.
TIP: Many Kindle books also come with included audiobooks which you can access through Audible. Be sure to check this when purchasing a Kindle book.
While I’m blessed with a husband who can sleep through anything, including my annoying habit to keep the light on late at night to read, I know a lot of others don’t have the same luxury. That’s where this nifty little light comes in. This book light is so good, I bought them for my kids so they can read late at night without keeping each other awake. It clips on to the back of your book and the cable has just enough flexibility and hold to stay in whichever position you place it. This is a must-have for our household of readers.
I’m all about a cute coffee mug, and this one is just so darn cute! I really like that it matches so well with the annotation supplies, so when you’re busy reading and annotating, you can be drinking your coffee from your super cute and colorful mug! It also has the flared rim, which is a nice touch! I’m obsessed!
The highlighter of all highlighters! These are great because they are muted tones and don’t bleed through, making them a great highlighter for annotation. Um… so stinking cute! You could also pair them with these gel pens, which don’t bleed through paper either. I both of these for my Bible and they are perfect for the thin, delicate paper!
Another book must-have are these annotation tabs! They come in nearly every color and are great to help with annotating your favorite books. If you have questions about book annotation or have never done it, there are some great videos explaining the process and reasoning on YouTube.
To go with your new comfy egg chair, this blanket is perfect! It’s a great weight for summertime without being too hot. It also comes in a variety of colors to suit everyone’s need and it is inexpensive, which I appreciate.
I can’t pass up a cute piece of boho accent decor and these pillows are no exception. I love the striped pattern which adds texture without additional color, and they feel so soft. I love these! To add a pop of color to your egg chair, get a darker or lighter neutral to create depth but also keep the boho feel.
I hope these new must-haves for book lovers were helpful for you and your bookish needs. If there are any other recommendations you have for book lovers, or any must-haves that you can’t live without, I would love to know. Please feel free to comment below, hearing from my readers brings me so much joy!
